Diversity at Trinity:
|
Trinity recruits minority alumni for all kinds of volunteer positions at the College, including membership on the National Alumni Associations executive committee. The Colleges alumni admissions support program is a particularly diverse group of graduates. The Alumni Relations and Career Services offices work together to identify alumni of color for programs administered by Career Services. The Alumni Relations Office holds discussions with alumni and students about the possibility of establishing new, special-interest alumni groups (in addition to the Black Alumni Organization, established in 1993, and the organization for gay and lesbian alumni, established at the initiative of a gay alumnus in 1996, both of which resulted from strong alumni commitment).
Special-interest alumni organizations enjoy the full support (staff and financial resources) of the Alumni Relations Office. Trinity is committed to providing continued support for initiatives aimed at involving more alumni in the life of the College and creating ties between alumni and students. We wish to inspire our alumni, reach out to them, and stay close with them.
