Tour of the Learning Corridor
Led by Aura Alvarado,
manager of special projects & community liaison, Capitol Region
Education Council (CREC).
The Learning Corridor is a 16-acre campus nestled between Trinity
College and the Institute of Living.
It comprises four public magnet schools encompassing grades pre-K
through 12. There is a Montessori
Magnet School, a Magnet Middle School, and two Greater Hartford
Academies that focus on math,
science, and arts. Immediately surrounding the campus are support
programs for youth—a Boys
& Girls Club and the CT Valley Girl Scouts Council. There is no other
public school campus in the country
that combines these elements.

CSC Facility Manager Rich Pettit leads a tour of The Koeppel Community
Sports Center (CSC), an integral part of the College’s Neighborhood
Initiative and an important addition to Trinity’s athletic facilities.
The CSC was officially dedicated in February 2007 and has been open to
the
public since early winter. The Albert Creighton Williams ’64 Rink serves
as the long-awaited “home ice” for Trinity’s men’s and women’s ice
hockey teams.
