Damian Wilmot serves as President of the BAO and is dedicated to executing the
Organization’s purpose. The purpose of the BAO is three-fold:
assisting Trinity College in meeting the needs of the College’s
current and future Black matriculants; establishing a closer and
more active relationship between the College and its Black alumni;
and insuring that vigorous and productive alumni programs exist
for the Black alumni of Trinity.
Prior to holding the
position of President, Damian served the BAO for three years as a
vice-president of student support.
At
Trinity, Damian was the business manager and a radio personality
for the campus radio station, WRTC 89.3 FM, the president and
co-founder of the Black and Latino Men’s Collective, and he served
on the board of many other campus groups, including the Minority
Affairs Counsel. He also co-founded the Black History Month
Committee.
Damian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from
Trinity and a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law
School. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable
Christine Siegrist Vertefeuille, Class of 1973, on the State of
Connecticut Supreme Court. Currently, he is an associate attorney
in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw. He lives in Boston with
his wife, Yndia Lorick-Wilmot, Class of 1999, who is a Ph.D.
candidate in Sociology at Northeastern University and the
Secretary of the BAO.
