Tour of The Mark Twain House
The bus will leave promptly at 1:45 pm from the Austin Arts Center.
Fee for the tour is $12. Space is limited. Step back to the Gilded Age
during a guided tour of the 19-room, Tiffany-decorated mansion where Mark
Twain raised his family and worked from 1874 to 1891. During this incredibly
productive period, Twain created such classics as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's
Court. |

All McCook Fellows, Members of the Class of 1953, and Long Walk Societies

The McCook Fellows Society recognizes members of the Trinity community who have
included the College in their estate plans. McCook Fellows have made a provision
for Trinity in their wills or trusts, or have taken advantage of the tax and
income advantages of various life-income gifts. Please plan to attend and meet
President Hersh and the Director of Planned Giving Jim Flynn. |

the weight and cardiovascular machines in the fitness center. Please

accompanied at all times by a parent or another adult.

holes and a cart
which is payable to a committee member
at the event. A
limited set of rental clubs are available at an additional cost and must be
reserved through a committee member by the RSVP date.

friends, and children 16 or over are welcomed to play. |

Alumni Golf Outing
Goodwin Park Golf Course, Hartford
Combined transportation will leave at 10 am from the Austin Arts
Center. A $32 fee per person, payable at the golf course, includes an
18-hole round of golf, a golf cart, a warm-up range bucket, and a hot
dog and beverage at the turn. Advance reservations are required. |

Tour of the Trinity College Field Station at the Church Farm
The bus will leave promptly at 10:45 am from the Austin Arts Center.
Fee for the tour is $12. Space is limited. Lunch will be provided.
Join Scott Smedley, assistant professor of biology, for a tour of the beautiful
and historic property housing the Trinity College Field Station (TCFS) located
in Ashford, CT. TCFS was established in late 1999 thanks to a generous donation
from Joe and Dorothy Zaring. |

Take advantage of Coach Assaiante's top-level expertise as both a

Harriet Beecher Stowe House Tour and Lecture
with Joan Hedrick, professor of history and 1995 Pulitzer Prize winner in
Biography for her book, Harriet Beecher Stowe-A Life.
The bus will leave promptly at 2:15 pm from the Austin Arts Center.
Fee for the tour is $12. Space is limited. Professor Hedrick's biography
of the longtime Hartford resident was also nominated for the Los Angeles Times
Book Prize and named to The New York Times list of Notable Books of the Year. A
tour followed by a lecture at the Stowe House with Professor Hedrick provides an
intimate glimpse into the life of the author of Uncle Tom's Cabin. This historic
site is on the Connecticut Freedom Trail, the Connecticut Women's Heritage
Trail, and commemorates Black History Month and Women's History Month. |

The Chapel
The Trinity College Chapel is a landmark building that embodies the great
history of the College and the best of Trinity's architectural heritage. Built
in the English Gothic style in the 1930s and visible from miles around, it
is one of the most impressive buildings of its kind in the country. |

Walking Tour of the Cedar Hill Cemetery
with Andrew Walsh '79, acting director of the Leonard E. Greenberg
Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life
The van will leave promptly at 9 am from the Austin Arts Center. Fee
for the tour is $5. Space is limited. Since the completion of its first
sections in 1866, Cedar Hill Cemetery has been honored to have been chosen as the final resting place of many distinguished and well-known
individuals. Many of Cedar Hill's beautiful, unusual and imposing monuments were
designed and executed by well-known architects and artists such as Carl Conrads,
Randolph Rogers, Richard M. Upjohn, and George Keller. Among them are The Rt.
Rev. Thomas Church Brownell, Presiding Episcopal Bishop of the United States and
founder of Trinity College, Glastonbury native Gideon Welles, editor of The
Hartford Times
newspaper and Secretary of the Navy under President Abraham Lincoln,
and J.P. Morgan, Hartford-born financier and philanthropist. |

President Richard Hersh and Stephen Peters '68, president of the National Alumni
Association, will lead the classes from Cinestudio down the Long Walk to the
Quad, taking the same path that graduates do on Commencement Day. All alumni,
family, and friends are invited to march. |

Annual Meeting of the National Alumni Association
The Quad
It's more than a meeting-it's a celebration! A celebration of traditions; a
celebration of alumni leaders and donors; and most importantly, a
celebration of the Trinity community. The program will include election
of new National Alumni Association officers, announcement of Reunion class gifts
to the College, and a presentation of special alumni awards. The program will
conclude with the singing of 'Neath the Elms. |

Buses will leave promptly at Noon from the Admissions and Career
Services Center parking lot. Fee for this two-hour cruise on the Connecticut

The Quad
After the National Alumni Association Meeting, head to your class tent
to enjoy outdoor activities and a cookout with fellow classmates, faculty,
family, and friends. A spirited festival of sports, music, and carnival
activities will take place on the Quad. Food will be provided until 2:30 pm. |

Tour of the Learning Corridor
with Jackie Mandyck, director of community and institutional
relations
The Learning Corridor is a 16-acre campus nestled between Trinity College and
the Institute of Living. It comprises four public magnet schools
encompassing grades pre-K through 12. There is a Montessori Magnet School, a
Magnet Middle School, and two Greater Hartford Academies that teach high-level
Math, Science, and Arts. These schools are managed by the Capitol Region
Education Council (CREC). Also included on the campus are support programs for
youth-a Boys & Girls Club, The Aetna Center for Families, and the CT Valley Girl
Scouts Council. There is no other public school campus in the country that
combines these elements. |

lecturer, and humorist, Peter uses humor and music to promote healthy
communication between children and adults. |

The newly renovated and expanded Library-a state-of-the-art learning
and information technology center-was conceived by the distinguished Canadian
architectural firm Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg to invite students to the
serious work of scholarship. It offers additional, aesthetically enhanced study
spaces where students can pore over a book or conduct research over the
Internet. New classrooms and service areas allow students, faculty, and library
staff to work together. |
