The Office of Community and Institutional Relations serves as the liaison between Trinity College and the Greater Hartford community. The Office works closely with city officials and agencies, neighborhood organizations, local business associations, social service providers, and a host of other local organizations and individuals on a broad range of issues of mutual interest to the community and the College.  The mission of OCIR is to enhance the College's institutional stature, support its academic mission and promote civic engagement through effective relationships and mutually supportive partnerships at the neighborhood, city, regional, state and national levels.

Trinity is proud of its location in Hartford and its commitment to the community.  The College looks forward to exploring new ways of cooperating with its neighbors to enhance the quality of life in Hartford, and the Office of Community and Institutional Relations plans to continue working with members of the local community to facilitate such collaborative efforts.
