Ethics in Wittgenstein and Heidegger:

Philosophy Lecture at Trinity College

What:  

The Trinity College Department of Philosophy presents The Blanchard William Means Memorial Lecture: "Ethics in Wittgenstein and Heidegger,” with Professor Peter Kampits, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Vienna.

     
When:   Thursday April 17, 7:00 p.m.
     
Where:   Rittenberg Lounge, Mather Hall on the Trinity College campus
     
Background:   Dr. Peter Kampits is Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Vienna and Executive Director of the Center for Ethics and Medicine (Scientific Academy of Lower Austria). Kampits has authored numerous books on Camus, Sartre, Marcel, Wittgenstein, Austrian philosophy, and ethics. He has lectured widely in Europe as well as in US, Asia, Central America, South-America. A past president of the Austrian Society for Philosophy and of the International Ferdinand-Ebner Society Kampits is currently an executive board member of Austrian Ludwig-Wittgenstein Society; a member of European Academy of Sciences and the Arts, the Austrian UNESCO-Commission, and the PEN-Club.
