Center for Urban and Global Studies, Trinity College
The new center for Urban and Global Studies at Trinity College has
generously contributed to fund the Park River Watershed symposium.
The College is pleased to welcome its newly hired Dean, Dr. Xiangming
Chen who will be developing the center in the coming years. You
can visit the center's website at
www.trincoll.edu/UGWal-mart
Through Wal-mart's community grant program we have received a
generous donation for the symposium. Wal-mart in Hartford is
located on Flatbush Avenue and is a neighbor of the south branch of the
Park River. We thanks Wal-mart for their interest in our community
and local urban environment.
Hog River Journal
We would like to thank the Hog River Journal for their generous
contribution that will cover the book of abstracts that each of the
symposium participants will receive. The Hog River Journal will
also host a pre-symposium river walk of the north branch. This
walk will be led by Mart Rickel-Pelletier on Sunday October 7, 1:30 to
3:30 pm. More information to come.
