    There are many steps in this project that had to be taken, preparing the land being a major step. First, all the garbage and remnants of a building had to be cleared off of the land so that the soil could be tilled. This was very difficult for two reasons. One, there was a lot of garbage. Two, there were many bricks because the building that used to stand at this site, was buried in its basement.   Secondly, we had to till the soil, set up our grid which determined where are soil samples would come from, and finally plant the crops. Below are pictures of us in action.

Here you can see us watering the land, picking up rocks, and using a hand tiller to till the soil. Special thanks to Shan and Darren for helping us.
