Here is what's going
on
Take
advantage of these events to help you mature spiritually and spend time
with other christians.
Weekly Meeting Once a
week, on Thursday nights, the whole fellowship gets together for
a time of worship, teaching and socialization. We gather in Mathers
Alumni Lounge (2nd floor) at 8pm to sing songs of praise to God,
hear a talk or teaching by an InterVarsity member or local minister,
and then to hangout over snacks and drinks. Come join us for a night
that may inspire you, challenge you, and send you out with a fresh
perspective. Contact Betsy (x2807) or Mat (951-3447) for more info.
Small Groups/Bible
Studies
Its in smaller, more personal settings that we truly grow close
and learn together about God and one another. Small groups are great opportunities
to see who God is and make lasting friendships. Check one out this week!
Guys Group meets Mondays at 9:00pm in the
Interfaith house at 155 Allen
Place (down the street from High Rise). It's a time for guys to talk about
their lives, encourage and challenge one another in their faith, and pray
for each other. Contact Jesse at x6616 for more info.
Women's Group is a
great time for women to come together to pray for each other, study
God's Word, and talk about what really matters in their lives. There
will be two different groups with different focuses, time and place
to be announced. Call Kelly (x2807) or Kristi (x3382) for more info.
Retreats and Conferences
Its great to get away from ol camp Trin-Trin once in a while.
Come explore with us and see what all the excitement is about.
Fall Conference Its at the end of
October or the first weekend in November, just the right time to get away
and enjoy Fall in New England. Usually held at InterVarsitys campsite
in New Hampshire, and including schools from around Connecticut, Fall
Conf. is an excellent time to slow down, be with friends or make new ones,
and connect with God in a peaceful setting. Perfect for those new to the
fellowship or just checking out Christianity. Email Mat (matsamivcf@collegeclub.com)
or Adam (Adam.Wittenberg@trincoll.edu)
for more details.
Chapter Camp Open to Freshmen
through Sophomores, and held after exams are finished in May, Chapter
Camp is an extended time to reflect on the previous year while preparing
for the year ahead. Usually lasting about a week and held either at InterVarsitys
campsite in New Hampshire or in Western Mass., Chapter Camp can also be
a great time for anyone wanting to take a closer look at life with God.
Email Mat
or Adam for more details.
Opportunities
to Serve
Spring Break Service Project-TBA. Daytona Beach looks to be on the horizon,
where we could be using creative ways to serve the spiritual needs of
students on Spring Break. Check back for more details or contact Mat
or Adam.
Other service opportunities include campus-wide activities such as Do-it
Day and Halloween on Vernon Street, and we are also seeking new ways to
serve our school and community. Come talk with us and share your ideas.
