Present information effectively for a specific
purpose
- Identifies the
purpose, audience and format of the presentation (e.g. research
papers, poster sessions, web sites, oral presentations, creative
productions)
- Extracts and
summarizes the main themes and statements to be presented
- Organizes the
arguments and data to support the presentation
- Integrates
collected information, which may include quotations and paraphrasing
- Uses technical
vocabulary accurately and clarifies it for the audience
- Chooses
appropriate technologies for the display of information
- Utilizes digital
text, images, and data and reformats them into a new context, as
needed
- Uses uncertainty
analysis/discussion for research/measurement oriented presentations,
or discussion of alternative design considerations for design oriented
presentations
- Asks for
feedback on early versions of the presentation and integrates
revisions
- Communicates
clearly and in a style appropriate for the intended audience
For oral presentations:

Practices delivery and timing of the
