DIRECTIONS
TO HARTFORD AND
THE TRINITY COLLEGE CAMPUS
If
you are arriving by plane at Bradley International Airport:
If
you are staying at the Hastings Hotel, 85 Sigourney Street, hotel transportation is available for $17.50
per person, which will be added to your room bill. Please call the hotel
bellman at 860-727-4400 with your flight and arrival time in order to ensure
transportation. When you arrive at the baggage claim
area, please find the courtesy phone for Hastings to contact them.
Bradley International Airport is approximately 30 minutes from the college by
car. Car rental agencies are available at the airport.
Airport Connection will provide transportation for a fee to Trinity's
campus at 300 Summit Street. Call them toll
free at 888-627-3400 to make a reservation.
Also available is the Yellow Cab Company at 860-666-6666.
If
you are arriving by bus or train:
Peter
Pan Bus Lines and Amtrak Train stations are located at One Union Place in
Hartford. For schedules and
fares, please call Peter Pan Bus Lines at 800-343-9999 or Amtrak at
800-872-7245. We suggest using
the Yellow Cab Company at 860-666-6666 for transportation to campus.
If
you are driving:
From
the West:
(NYC via I-84, Danbury, et.) Take
I-84 east to exit 48, Capitol Avenue. At
the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp turn left. Go to the first traffic light (at Washington Street) and turn
right (at statue of Lafayette on horse).
Proceed straight ahead on Washington Street for 8 traffic lights (total
1.1 miles), passing the hospital complex on your left.
At the 8th light, turn right onto New Britain Ave.
Proceed on New Britain Avenue to traffic light at Summit Street.
Turn right, between the brick gateposts, into campus.
From
the East
(Boston, etc.) Take I-84 west and
keep to the right once you reach Hartford, traveling through a short tunnel.
After the tunnel take exit 48, Asylum Avenue.
At the end of the exit, turn left onto Asylum Street.
Staying in the righthand lane, follow the roadway to the right, hugging
Bushnell Park. Bear right through
the brownstone arch onto Trinity street.
Staying in the left lane, go to the second stoplight.
The Bushnell Memorial Hall will be on your left and the State Capitol
will be on your right. Turn left
past the statue of Lafayette on horseback onto Washington Street. Follow rest of directions as above.
From
the South: Take
I-91 north to I-84 west, then follow the directions "From the east."
From
the North:
(Springfield, Bradley Airport, etc.)
Take I-91 south to I-84 west, then follow the directions "From the
east."
