ISP gives you the
opportunity to get into the laboratory and conduct research
early in your college career.

Independent
research is a key factor in preparing yourself for a career
in science or for graduate or medical studies.

You have the option of
staying on campus for the summer after your first year and
conducting research in one of the laboratories with the
guarantee of receiving a stipend (10-week program, stipend was
$3500 in 2006) and summer housing.

Because all ISP
students live together in the same dorm, you will have the
opportunity to build strong bonds and make lasting connections
with your ISP classmates, many of whom have the same interests
as you. This is especially helpful in your busy first semester.
