Trinity Defeats Western Conn.

Hartford, Conn. – Sophomore attackman Harper Cullen (Rehoboth Beach, Del.) had four goals and senior midfielder Jeremy Ulan (Scarsdale, N.Y.) tallied three goals to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 13-6 victory over the Western Connecticut State University Colonials in the men’s lacrosse home opener this afternoon at Jessee/Miller Field. Trinity improves their record to 2-0 overall, while the Colonials fall to 3-1.

Trinity shut out the Colonials in the first quarter and scored five goals to take the early lead. Junior goalkeeper Alex Palma (Chappaqua, N.Y.) had 11 saves and held the Colonials to 5 goals in nearly four quarters of play. Junior goalkeeper Graham Fadden (New Canaan, Conn.) saw some minutes towards the end of the game tallying a save and allowing one goal. All six of the Colonials goals came from different players but were not enough to keep up with the Bantams.
