2nd AASA General Body Meeting

Welcome:
Thanks for coming. Introductions. Thanks for those of you who attended September
events. We had a good month, let’s make it a great year!

Deadline for sign-up is Sunday, Oct 6th.
AASA’s Annual Campus-Wide Party:
November 1st, 2002, 10pm-2am.
Brainstorm and collect suggestions for theme & name of party.
Fliers and promotions.
Set-up 8:30pm. Clean-up afterwards. All members are expected to stay and help
out.
Theme months:
October is National Filipino Heritage Month.
Barrio Fiesta October 19th. Celebration of Filipino Culture, Performance, &
Food.
FIND--Filipino Intercollegiate Network Dialogue Conference @MIT October 25-27.
College will cover fee. If you didn't sign up durinng the meeting, email
allison.faelnar@trincoll.edu if you are interested.
Lecture on Monday:
Harry Wu. Human rights advocate for the black market organ trade served 19 years
in prison for his activism. Wu revealed that prisoners were executed for their
organs, no real justice involved. Monday, September 30 at 8pm in the Washington
Room, Mather Hall. Luncheon on October 1st at 1:15pm in Terrace Room B, Mather
Hall. Show up if you can!
Ping Pong Tournament. We want to organize it with Hillel. Start practicing in
the house now!
