2011-2012 Endowment Report

Letter from the Vice President for College Advancement

Dear Friend,

My first months as Vice President for College Advancement have been dynamic and exciting.  I am delighted to be a member of the Trinity community, and join in the effort to provide a superlative education to more than 2,000 of the most remarkable young people from around the globe.  Endowment is vital to that effort, and I am pleased to provide this update for the 2011-12 fiscal year.

This is a pivotal time for the College as we celebrate the conclusion of the Cornerstone and Legacy Campaigns while pursuing a bold vision for Trinity‚Äôs future.  The combined campaigns resulted in the creation of more than 170 new endowed funds, including 75 scholarships and 14 professorships.  Total new commitments to the endowment during the campaigns surpassed $150 million.  These funds will help the College recruit and retain the finest faculty, support innovative academic programs and research, and provide financial aid to hundreds of deserving students.  Increasing endowment to support our students and faculty remains high among our priorities as we move forward with efforts to ensure academic excellence while enhancing experiential, co-curricular, cultural, and athletic opportunities.

Your support is helping Trinity build a strong and stable endowment, which is fundamental to the success of our College.  On behalf of President Jones, our students, and faculty, I convey our sincere gratitude for your continued investment in Trinity College.

Sincerely,

John P. Fracasso
Vice President for College Advancement
