April 24 - Thank you for participating in the Trinity College Fire Fighting Home Robot Contest!
We had 106 robots participate in this year's event. The website has been updated with all of the contest winners.
Please review the standings. If you are a winner of any type of prize, you should have completed the orange winner's sheet before
leaving campus. The sheet was provided at the contest and some teams have returned them. For those who have NOT, please send
an email to Jessica.Studinski@trincoll.edu for further instruction. All other awards are currently being processed.
All participants are eligible to receive a fantastic software package by our sponsor, SolidWorks Inc. To receive the
complimentary software, please visit www.solidworks.com/sponsoreddesigncontest Be sure to use the same robot name and
affiliation as you used in the Robot Contest, as SolidWorks will be verifing all information to ensure a match.
Poster Session
March 31 - The poster is a way for your team to describe your robot to the other
teams.
You'll put up your poster on Saturday April 12, after your team
checks in at the registration table.
The poster may be one large sheet or composed of many smaller
sheets. The maximum size of the poster is about 0.7 m high by 1 m wide.
At least one member of your team should be at the poster during the
poster session in order to answer questions.
JUST RELEASED!
March 1 - Our proud corporate sponsor, SolidWorks, is
pleased to offer all robot teams a complimentary software package to
use in the design of this or future year's robots! To receive your
free software, please log onto their site and complete the short
application form. The software will be mailed to your school or

details! Please be sure to enter our contest name in "other" for
tracking and verification purposes.
Symposium Details Now Available
Feb. 28 - Abstracts and speaker biographies for the symposium on
April 12 have been added to the schedule page. The symposium will offer
an exciting look into current trends in robotics research.
2007 Contest DVD
Feb. 1 - The 2007 contest DVD is shipping. The cost is $25 U.S. To order your DVD or to get more information please send an email to Jessica.Studinski@trincoll.edu. Versa Valve Challenge
December 9, 2007 - Versa Products Co., a major contest sponsor and manufacturer of pneumatic, hydraulic, manual, and solenoid valves, has
established a "Versa Challenge" award, a $500 cash prize to be awarded to the top robot in each contest division that uses a Versa
valve as part of a non-air candle extinguisher. To join the challenge, just mark the Versa checkbox on the online contest registration
form. Versa will send a valve to you free of charge. Click here for more information.
Olympiad Reminder
October 17, 2007 - As you are designing, building, and testing this year's fire-fighting robot, think about the theory
behind what you're doing. You will be prepared to take this year's Olympiad exam. Stay tuned for time and place.
