PRIZES

The real rewards in robotics are a sense of achievement, teamwork and the joy of designing and building a successful robot. We will recognize achievements through both cash prizes and non-cash prizes.

All prize winners must submit a tax form to receive prize money. US winners must use the w9 form found at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf and international winners must use the w8 form found at www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf. The forms must be filled out, signed, and mailed or e-mailed to Jessica Studinski. If the forms are not properly filled out, no prize will be awarded. Prize winners must include division and placement with the completed tax form.

Monty Python was awarded the Spirit Of the Inventor Award for its unique flame detection system which, through the use of multiple light passages, allowed the measurement of the distance to the candle.
