The Consortium on High Achievement and Success

As result of a CHAS faculty grant,

Dr. Steven Stroessner, Professor of Psychology at Barnard College, Columbia University has developed a website called Reducing Stereotype Threat. He is a graduate of Hope College in 1987 and a recipient of a Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1992 and his primary research examines cognitive, affective, and motivational factors in stereotyping and prejudice of Barnard College.

The website is a result of this research and his continuing efforts to re-examine the consequences, mechanisms, situations, criticisms and yet-unresolved issues of stereotype threat and CHAS' dedication to implementing diversity initiatives in a way that promotes high achievement and success.
