for High Achievement and Success

June 26-27, 2008
hosted by
The College of the Holy Cross
Worcester, MA
Hogan Campus Center

Registration deadline  JUNE 16TH

The College of the Holy Cross, in collaboration with CHAS, will be hosting an institute on mentoring undergraduate students for high achievement and success.   The focus will be on mentoring students from underrepresented groups, including ALANA, international, first-generation and low-income populations.

The Institute will provide a forum where mentors, faculty, directors of mentoring programs, or those looking to start a mentoring program can come  together  to learn, discuss and share ideas, research and best practices about successful mentoring on their respective campuses.  To that end we will address the following themes:

 ■ Creating a mentoring culture
 ■ Sharing best practices
 ■ Assessing the impact of mentoring programs on student engagement and academic performance.
