The fourth meeting of CHAS psychological counselors was held at Williams College campus.  This meeting launched a successful dialogue on multicultural competency, with input from students who gave an accurate assessment of successful student engagement with counseling.

Two presentations on uses of data in gauging the success of clinician relationships with students of color, both from national and CHAS specific perspectives were presented by Craig Piers, Williams College and Chris Brownson, University of Texas, Austin (click on the presenters' name to view the power point presentations) The conference also addressed issues of positive alliances between faculty and administration that will promote success and achievement of our underrepresented students

Previous meetings of CHAS psychological counselors have included both multicultural affairs and student services staff, who can play a role in outreach to students who may benefit from counseling services and a number of other fields were represented at this conference.
