Friday November 14th, 2003

5:00 – 8:00PM Participants arrive in the afternoon and evening.  Go by shuttle to Radnor Hotel to check into room (hotel is located about 10 minutes drive from Haverford Campus). 

5:00 – 8:00 Welcome and Registration at Bryn Mawr Room, Dinning Center

Saturday November 15th

8:00 – 9:00AM Breakfast in Bryn Mawr Room, Dinning Center Haverford College

9:00 – 9:15Am Opening Remarks

 9:15 – 11:30AM Simultaneous workshops

A.- Leadership Workshop, Facilitator: Darryl Jordan, Director of Third World Coalition, American Friends Service Committee.  For Black and Latino Male students only.

B.- Where are we going with this work group program, challenges to race/ethnic specific programming?, Facilitator: Valeriano Ramos). 

11:30AM Break

11:45AM – 12:20 PM Lunch with Key note speaker Pennsylvania Congressman Chakkah Fattah, Bryn Mawr Room, Dinnig Center.  For conference participants

12:20 – 1:20 PM Key note presentation For everyone.  Female students and others welcome

1:30 – 3:00 PM Joint workshop for everyone.  Common Room, Founders Hall.  Facilitator Jorge Zeballos, Program Development Specialist, Office of Bias Crime and Community Relations, State of New Jersey.

3:00 – 3:15 Break

3:15 – 4:15 Planning session per college team.  Facilitator: Valeriano

4:15 – 4:20 Five minutes stretch!

4:20 – 5:30 Report in larger group, Facilitator Kidan Kassahun

6:00 – 7:00PM Dinner

7:00PM A Capella Concert at Haverford College

 

Sunday November 16th

8:30 – 10:00AM Strategies for Student network development and follow up after the conference, Radnor Hotel.  Moderated by
