Kicking off the conference, a panel of CHAS graduates will discuss the impact that past Black and  Latino Males conferences have had in their personal, academic, and community experiences while in college. They will share views on how to maximize the educational value of the conference and speak to various issues relative to their experience.

Late Night with Oveous Maximus

Ove is a native New Yorker whose parents came from the Dominican Republic. He started slammin’ at the Nuyorican last season after he lost his brother to suicide. Ove has decided to devote the rest of his life to honoring his brother thru this amazing art we all call “poetry”?. Ove has produced his first solo DVD title: “Innocence in My Politics”?” and has been featured on NBC and UPN for “Showtime at the Apollo” and the reality hit series from ESPN2, “I’d Do Anything.”
