Black and Latino Males
Conference 2008
8th Annual
Black and Latino Male Conference Hosted by Bucknell University Teams of students, faculty and administrators from CHAS schools are invited to register for this conference, which will address the work of public service and the connections to how gender and race are formulated today. Look forward to a weekend of discussion, skill-building, networking, and social activities. The agenda follows. If your campus team includes female students, please note that general sessions are open to all, however, male and female tracks have been designed for Conversation Circles that include student participants. We hope this format will allow for sessions that provide more focused forums whereby open and frank discussions on sensitive issues can take place in a safe environment. The invited speakers include: Trent Hargrove, Pennsylvania Chief Diversity Officer and Bucknell alumnus Dr. Shaun Harper, in the department of Higher Education Management, Graduate School of Education at Penn State Dr. Cary Fraser, in the Department of African and African-American Studies at Penn State University
