Valentino Pace
Valentino Pace is Professor of Art History at the University of Udine
and Principal Lecturer in Art History at the Rome Campus, where he has taught since 1976.
A prolific and distinguished scholar of late antique, early Christian, Byzantine, and
medieval art, he is the author of several books and more than 130
articles. He has served as curator of several major international
exhibitions and editor of several scholarly journals, including
Iconographica (University of Siena), Assaph (Tel Aviv
University), and Zograf (Belgrade University). He is a member of
the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters. Before he became a
professor in the Italian university system, he worked for three years at
American research universities, as Visiting Associate Professor at John
Hopkins University (1985-87) and Visiting Senior Fellow at Princeton
University (1987-88).Trinity College/Rome Campus is honored to have been a constant companion for 30 years now in Prof. Pace’s remarkable academic ascent.
