Rome’s football teamThe Gladiatori Roma organization was founded in 1973 as the first professional football team in Italy. In addition to the prima squadra (main team) that competes in the national league, the organization fields an Under 17 team and an Under 21 team, as well as a Senatori team of retired veterans of the main team. The organization also sponsors flag football games and offers football camps to teach Roman youths how to play the sport. Rome Campus students may participate in a variety of ways.
