SANDELL HELPS TRINITY MEN'S SOCCER
SALVAGE TIE AT COAST GUARD
Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore Morgan Sandell (Cohasset, Mass.) had two goals, including the game-tying shot with 12:52 remaining in regulation, to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to 2-2 tie against the United States Coast Guard Academy Bears in men's soccer action this evening. Trinity, ranked No. 23 in the nation and No. 3 in New England is now 0-0-1, while the Bears fall to 0-1-1.
The teams played two scoreless 15 minute overtime periods before the game ended in a draw. Trinity, which oushot the Bears 20-12, got eight saves from senior tri-captain goalkeeper Tom Hambrick-Stowe (Lancaster, Pa.). Senior goalie James Wimberley (Lawton, Okla.) had 10 saves for Coast Guard.
