Law and the Use of Force: Iraq as a Case Study

Alan J. Kreczko, senior vice president and deputy general counsel for The Hartford Financial Services Group where he supervises the company's property and casualty law and compliance units, will present, “Law and the Use of Force: Iraq as a Case Study.”

Background:  

Kreczko comes to The Hartford following a distinguished 25-year career in federal government, most recently in the U.S. Department of State as acting assistant secretary for population, refugees and migration. Among his other duties in that role at the State Department, he oversaw the U.S. humanitarian response to recent world crisis areas, including relief efforts in Afghanistan, the Balkans, West Africa and East Timor, among others. Kreczko is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
