*Salsafication* is Trinity College's own Latin band, 
devoted to the study
and performance of salsa, 
merengue, and other Latin popular styles. The
band 
includes vocals, horns, piano, bass and Latin 
percussion.
Salsafication performs on campus 
throughout the fall and spring semesters,
including 
major Latin dance parties at the Vernon Street 
Social Center.
Highlights of the ensemble include 
workshops with local Latin music experts,
and a 
recording session in the spring. Past workshops 
have included visits
from such renowned artists as 
Willie Colon. The ensemble can be taken as a
course
for half credit, registered under MUSC-111. Admission 
by audition and/or permission of instructor.
