Benvenuti! The Italian Studies Program at Trinity College offers a variety of courses in Italian and in English about the language, culture and civilization of Italy. Students who wish to major in Italian can choose between two different plans of study. Students who wish to minor may do the Italian Minor (primarily language acquisition) or the Italian Studies Minor (an interdisciplinary curriculum of courses, including courses in English). Besides the undergraduate curriculum at the Hartford campus, Trinity College has a study abroad program in Rome (founded in 1970) and is also the host for events sponsored by the Cesare Barbieri Endowment for Italian Culture.
