AGENCY FUNCTION: Official Senatorial office serving the needs of Connecticut residents primarily in dealing with the Federal Government. In addition to constituent services, the office provides support to state and local governments as well as non-profit groups.

INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns work directly for Senate staff to aid in service to constituents (in person, over the phone and via correspondence) as well as government agencies to assist in resolving problems often caused by bureaucratic red tape. Provide direct assistance in addition to information referral, occasionally aid staff with research on special projects, and participate in field meetings. DEADLINES: March 15 for summer; August 15 for fall; November 15 for winter.

HOURS PER WEEK: Negotiable (Summer: 3-5 days/wk).
