AGENCY FUNCTION:  The Government Relations Department of this statewide telecommunications firm is responsible for the development and maintenance of ongoing relationships with local, state and federal governmental bodies, and other outside organizations, to protect and enhance corporate interests.

INTERN ACTIVITIES:  Under staff supervision, intern may: assist lobbyist at state capitol, attend committee meetings and hearings, research information on pending legislation, assist in developing material for presentation before legislative committees, track and update files on legislation of interest, participate in staff strategy planning sessions, other writing and staff support assignments as appropriate.
