AGENCY FUNCTION: Planned Parenthood provides reproductive health care services to over 52,000 clients in Connecticut, regardless of income. This department seeks to secure public and political support at the local, state and national levels for the services provided, including the right to safe, legal abortion and confidential health care services to clients, regardless of age.

INTERN ACTIVITIES: Public affairs projects include campus organizing on issues of abortion, adolescent pregnancy, rights of minors; legislative organizing with member of Public Affairs Alert Network in preparation for and during CT General Assembly sessions; research on Medicaid Funding for medically necessary abortions in CT; welfare reform, family planning, health care reform. Conference planning; coalition work with other organizations.
