AGENCY FUNCTION: Planned Parenthood provides family planning information, counseling, and medical services to clients of all ages. The agency also provides educational services to schools, churches, and organizations throughout the community.

INTERN ACTIVITIES:

1/ Clinical: Basic laboratory screening procedures; medical history-taking, contraceptive and reproductive health care counseling and education.

2/ Educational: Being trained to provide information on contraceptive and reproductive health care as a speaker in schools and other organizations. Other community outreach programs coordinated through the agency resource center.

3/ Office Support: Telephone counseling, making appointments, record keeping, etc.
