AGENCY FUNCTION: The Institute of Living is a comprehensive center for the evaluation, treatment and follow-up care of psychiatric, emotional and addiction disorders.  The Institute offers a broad spectrum of services that include short-term inpatient, outpatient, residential, day treatment centers, addiction recovery, and adolescent, geriatric and special needs programs.  The school provides special education for emotionally and learning disabled children.

INTERN ACTIVITIES:  Placements can be arranged in various departments depending upon student interests.  Past placements include Day Treatment, Geriatric, Clinical Psychology, and Community Visitor.  For the Grace S. Webb Children's School, see the listing under Hartford Hospital.

HOURS PER WEEK: 8-12, scheduled during operating hours of each department.
