AGENCY FUNCTION: A community-based organization dedicated to improving the health, mental health, education and economic well-being of the Latino and other low-income populations in Hartford. To achieve its goal, the Council has four interrelated strategies: research, training education, advocacy, and production and dissemination of health education materials. INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns can participate in various research projects or in any of our direct service units in areas including: nutrition, youth drug prevention, AIDS/HIV, child abuse prevention, pre-natal care, etc. Spanish language skills preferred, but not necessary.
