AGENCY FUNCTION: To aid Southeast Asian refugees and immigrants in the acculturation process by providing mental health, case management, educational, cultural and recreational services.
INTERN ACTIVITIES: Interns serve as tutors for ESOL/Welfare Rights program, which uses teaching English as a way of helping clients take charge of their lives and become educated about their rights and opportunities. Experience or interest in Asian culture and issues, especially Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos; (some Korean and Chinese).
HOURS PER WEEK: 10
