Wheeler Clinic Alternative Incarceration Center SPRING, SUMMER, FALL. Agency provides treatment for clients involved in the criminal justice system, including those on probation, parole or in a pre-trial situation. Intern will assist with intake, assist with facilitation of "job club," case management, one-on-one interventions, documentation, clerical work and answering phones. Community Partners in Action SUMMER. Internships available in the following areas, under the umbrella of the Young Offender Program. Court Liaison: attend court sessions, interview clients, research information, and other related duties; School Liaison: advise/support clients in  educational activities, attend school meetings, maintain contact and get updates from school personnel, and other duties; Case Manager: meet with clients, conduct self-help workshops, prepare progress reports, conduct orientation for new clients, and other duties; Client Monitor: update curfew log on weekly basis, place calls to homes of clients after 8 p.m. curfew. Accompany staff on visits to clients' homes, monitor clients' attendance at weekly mandatory workshops, and other duties; Education Workshop Facilitator: gather educational materials to be used in packets for clients' use, develop method of assessing reading, math and other skills, conduct workshops for out-of-school clients; Employment Assistant: help recruit and train out-of-school youth to participate in the employment assistance program; assist in-school clients with obtaining and maintaining employment, and other duties.
