Faculty Positions in the History Department
Early
Modern and Modern Japan. Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, a selective liberal arts
college, seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Japanese history starting in the
fall term of 2004. Candidates with interests
in womens history, economic history and cultural studies are especially invited to
apply, but all applications from specialists in the Edo and Modern period will be
welcomed. Teaching responsibilities will
include a two semester survey of early, early modern and modern Japanese history, a
historiography course based on Japanese materials, and specialized seminars covering a
spectrum of topics. The successful candidate
will be expected to play an active role with the Asian Studies major and the International
Studies Program. Women and members of minority
