IMPORTANT: When studying away, students can earn different
kinds of credit, depending upon the program in which they participate:
1) Trinity Credit:
Applies
to students enrolled in Trinity courses
taught or supervised by faculty with Trinity appointments, and receive
grades that calculate into their GPA. Students are enrolled in these
courses by the Office of International Programs.

meet with the program director for a program orientation before heading to

lectures and continue their orientation before moving in with local families
and beginning regular classes. Students embark on a ten-day trek in the
Kanchendzonga Park in rural Sikkim before heading on to Tibet. In Lhasa,
students attend lectures and participate in group discussions and exercises
with local Tibetans. The emphasis is on the rural-urban divide, the ideology
and application of Chinese development in Tibet, and issues of gender and
education . Students have the choice of studying the Nepali or Tibetan
language. Visits to rural Tibet and small urban centers are included.
