You will find schedules for CT Transit buses in shelves at the entrance to Mather Dining Hall on the side by Mather front desk. You may also decide to take advantage of the Trinity College UPASS, which provides students with free access to CT Transit buses. You will receive information about UPASS with your registration materials.
Connecticut State law requires that all registered vehicles are
insured. Even if you do not own the car you plan to be driving,
you must be insured on the owner’s insurance policy. There are
many companies that provide car insurance and it is worth it to
shop around for the best deal. The American Automobile Association
(AAA) can help you find the best insurance rates for your car.
To get insurance quotes from AAA, call (860) 236-3261 or (800)
JOIN-AAA.
To drive while residing at Trinity, you must get a Connecticut
State Drivers License. You can apply for a drivers
license at the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
Part 1: Establishing Residency
1. You must prove Connecticut residency. A postmarked letter with your Trinity
address will show residency.
2. You must pay a $36.00 application fee.
3. You need to provide two forms of identification; passports, birth certificates,
a home driver's license, or INS documents are all acceptable.
4. A letter from Trinity's Designated School Official indicating you are in status at Trinity.
5. If all documents are accepted, the DMV official will schedule an appointment for your driving test.
Part 2: Driver's Test Appointment
1. You will take a written general knowledge test.
2. You will be given a visual examination.
3. If you pass the above two tests, you will then be given a driving test for which
