Trinity in Kathmandu
A group of students.

The Kingdom of Nepal is a constitutional monarchy, with a population of 24 million. It is a small South Asian country of great diversity, though it can be divided into three major ecological and cultural zones. The northernmost area is dominated by the high Himalayan range and Tibetan cultural influences. The middle zone of hills and valleys contains a rich profusion of cultural and linguistic influences, as well as the historically ancient cities of the Newar people, including Kathmandu. The southern farmlands and jungles are the nation's breadbasket and industrial center, and are marked by Indic influences on religion and language.
