IBM format - is preferred. Please check your Macintosh files are compatible and can be read by an IBM PC. A Macintosh will NOT be readily available. Email me if this is a problem.

Powerpoint is preferred - IBM PC format - saved on a CD. Facilities for ZIP will NOT exist.

OHP - Overhead projector will be available.

Video - NTSC or PAL is aceptable.

Slides - we will NOT ordinarily have a slide projector. Inform us if this is necessary for your talk. We do not wish to use a slide projector.

INVITED SYMPOSIA

Each symposia will be 90 minutes long and should consist of four presentations each of 15 minutes in length (plus 5 mins questions). The aim of each invited symposium is that it emphasises interrelations and resonances across the four contributors. Individual presentations should be 15 minutes long and should allow for 5 minutes of audience questions immediately following (questions should not be held until the end of the symposium so make sure you leave time in your talk to accept questions). A 10 minute open question session should also be planned by the organisers for the end of the symposium, whereby integrative questions can be presented to all four speakers.

Please include the following information in your submission:

1. Title of symposium
2. Names of symposium organisers, with contact details
3. Titles of symposium contributions
4. Names of symposium contributors, with contact details
5. Outline of the symposium with an explanation of the reasons for the symposium, who the speakers will be, an abstract of each speaker's topic, and, importantly, what the interrelations between each of the speaker's topics will be
6. One person designated as the symposium's contact, with contact details
7. IBM/PC Microsoft Word format if possible please

OPEN FORUMS

Similar time constraints apply as in the Invited Symposia. Each talk will be 15 minutes in length plus 5 mins questions.

POSTERS

There is a limit of two first authorships per person for the poster book.

PAPER SUBMISSION
Complete posters should be sent to the poster editors by the Posters due date.
Please include the following information in your poster submission:

Title
Maximum of 10 words.

Text of Poster
1200 word maximum including all text, figures, captions, and references.
Each figure, excluding captions, counts as 150 words.

Figures and Illustrations
The poster book is A5 size. Please ensure that all figures are less than 10cm x 10cm and any text on figures is legible. Photographs must be scanned and sent as graphics files.

References
There is no maximum number of references

Style
Proper APA

Word Processing
Use default settings for margins and fonts. Do not use hard returns at the end of each line, only use hard returns to separate paragraphs.
IBM/PC Microsoft Word format if possible please.

Submissions (full paper)
Submissions should be both by (A) email, and (B) surface mail:

A) Electronic submissions should include:
1. Information sheet
Title (10 words maximum), author(s), institution(s), mailing address, telephone, fax, email address; 5 keywords
2. A word processed file of the text. Include authors, affiliations and embedded figures.
3. A text only file in ASCII format.
4. Separate graphics files for ALL figures and illustrations. Preferably not bitmapped files.

B) Surface submissions should include:
Hard copy. Tables and camera ready figures should be attached.
