John Green is professor of political science and director of the Roy C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron. He is  co-editor, with Mark Rozell and Clyde Wilcox, of Marching to the Millennium: The Christian Right in the States, 1980-2000 and many other works.

 Frank Kirkpatrick is the Ellsworth Morton Tracy Lecturer and a professor of religion at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He is a priest of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut.

 Arvind Sharma is the Birks Professor of Comparative Religion in the Faculty of Religious Studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
