Benjamin Todd and the driver of our shuttle are very happy with the coffee break en route to the camping site.

Not everyone was enamored with the local coffee shop. Those folks opted for burger king.

The first order of business was to set up tents for storage of clothing and food items.

The students took part in a hike, seeing the beauty of western Connecticut, as well as a quick dip in the Housatonic River.

This lookout was so beautiful that it spawned impromptu poetry from the participants

A closer look reveals, that although the scenery is gorgeous, that first step could be hard to handle.

The climb got a bit steep while the group veered off course to avoid a very active wasps nest!!!

Wasps nests look small and innocuous, but once stung, twice shy is a good rule of thumb.

After the hike and swim, students settled in to discuss where they were from, and what they hoped to get out of the upcoming year.

Students had a bit of trouble waking up the following day. One lone trooper rouses himself before mid-morning.

Benjamin Todd begins to prepare some food, thinking that the smells may bring students out of their slumber.

The sweet smell of coffee was too much for students, bringing them forth to sample the wares offered for breakfast.
