Lactol Formation is the future: Joe Wzorek discusses why lactol compounds are so very important.

Cascade Reactions, The all in one formation: Claire Lawlor puts forth her discovery of cascade reactions that form aromatic rings under benign conditions.

Claire, Dr. Thomas Mitzel, and Joe pose in front of the posters for a quick photo between questions and chemistry chat.

After a long, but productive day, these students pose for one last picture before departing the GWCC.

Although no one wanted to leave the poster sessions, time was found for a relaxing dinner with the entire group of students and faculty.

The group was lucky enough to meet a Trinity Almuni ( Maurice Lee), and catch up on what has transpired for Maurice with his graduate studies at Emory.

The hotel was equipped with a running track on the roof. There was no reason not to get our exercise in while staying in Atlanta!!!

The Chemistry group was delighted to find that it was sharing its space with a Hot Wheels convention during the ACS meeting. Adults playing with matchbox cars is a bit scary, but then again, so is chemistry!!
