Senior Dinner for Chemistry and Biochemistry Majors
Spring 2008

The Graduates of 2008 partake in a celebratory dinner with faculty.

Every year of students seems to travel through the 4 years of undergraduate education much too quickly. This year's class seems like the first year students of only two weeks ago. We hope the memories of the undergraduate experience in the chemistry department last forever (and that they are good!). You will all be missed very much. Best of luck, and keep in touch!!

Dinner was held at Casa Mia.
Here are several students and faculty deep in conversation.

Tania, Kwame, and Sarah hypothesize
what may be on the dinner menu.

Rebecca Lucht fondly remembers
the road to her Trinity College degree.

Professor Henry DePhillips serves "water"
for the students as a token
for their hard work in his course.

The obligatory group picture was
snapped at the end of dinner.

The first photo was so fun,
another was taken.

And before the evening ended,
a 3rd and final group photo.

The students went out for a few social hours after dinner, and the camera followed. Below are some photos of the rest of the evening.

Adam Hill is "pleasantly" surprised
at how quickly his 4 years flew by.

A nice glass of lemonade
helped Adam relax during
the stressful academic moments.

Becca, Julianne,and Emmy recall
course horror stories (fondly).

Julianne and Emmy further chat
about their research times
as undergraduates.

Kwame and Becca are not sure
their research was as mcuh fun
or worth chatting about.

Katharine suggests dancing
is more fun than research.
Erica and Kwame agree.

Laert, Sarah, and Julianne
chat about movies, much better
than chemistry.

Tania, Nicole, and Kathryn suggest
there are many topics more interesting
than chemsistry (surely they jest)!

Tim worries more about
toughening up now that he has finished
his undergraduate experience.

Laert tries to talk Dr. Prigodich
into raising his P. Chem. grade.
That is not happening.

This group is happy with the work
accomplished and would rather
chat about soccer.

The students gather for a conversation
bereft of faculty for once.

All this talk about grades
has made Laert tired.

As the night was ending, a final group picture was snapped.

The conversation was just too good,
and it was continued over breakfast
(Yes, two meals for senior dinner,
but many hours apart!!)

Thank you Class of 2008 for all the fun and memories!!!! Take care!!!
