Bennett is currently in Washington working on his PhD in Chemistry at The George Washington University under the tutelage of Dr. Akos Vertes. He is working in the area of MALDI and is working toward his first publication to be sumbitted to The Journal of Analytical Chemistry. The project is currently patented under the rights of GWU and funded by a small Biosciences company.
Bennett is also engaged and still very interested in reading books on Science and Religion.
