[The following is an example of the letter a Trinity administrator will send to notify a user of a violation that has been traced back to their specific machine or IP address. It is to be used only as a reference.] Sample Letter: Dear Student,
The Computing Center has been notified that you have illegal copies of movie files on FastTrack, including, but not limited to:
Mallrats (Mallrats[DivX].avi)
This is in violation of the Regulations for the Use of Computing, Communications and Video Systems at Trinity College, a copy of which can be found at:

Please delete these files or prove that you have a license to share these files immediately. If I do not receive a reply to this message within 72 hours, I will be forced to shut down your network connection and account indefinitely until the matter is resolved. If you need assistance to complete this request please contact the Student Help Desk at extension 2007 or via email at consultants@trincoll.edu. Continued disregard for the College's regulations may result in further disciplinary action.

We hereby request your assistance in ceasing the distribution, sale, and/or offering for sale of the infringing VCDs, and any other unauthorized copies of Universal Properties, on this Internet site and any other sites for which you act as an Internet Service Provider.
Under the penalty of perjury, the undersigned is authorized to act on behalf of Universal with respect to this matter and the information contained in this transmission is accurate.
