Double-Sided Duplex
Printing for Windows XP/2000
on Canon Copiers/Printers
- If you are not sure
the duplex option is installed on the printer, you may find out by clicking on the Start
Menu, select Settings, and finally Printers and Faxes.

- From the Printers and Faxes
screen, right click on the printer in question, and select
Properties.

- There There should be something
similar to the window below. If the Duplex Unit is installed, click
OK to close the window. If the Duplex Unit option is not set
to Installed but you know there is a Duplex Unit, click on
the item and change the setting, then click OK to close the
window. If you are not sure, you may call the help desk for further
assistance. Note: Not all models will list the Duplex Unit
under Installable Options. If your printer does not, please proceed
to Step 4.

- From the Printers and Faxes
screen, right-click on the printer you would like to set up.
Select Printing Preferences from the menu.

- Most Canon copiers/printers will
display the following Window. Click on the Advanced button
(highlighted below), and a second screen will appear.

- Find the Printer Features
listing. Click on the 2-Sided Printing option, and select
Long Edge Binding as shown in the window below.

Click OK on all open
windows. If you are done, close the Printers and Faxes
window. If not, repeat steps 2 through 6 for any remaining Canon
Copiers/Printers.
