Before you can get your Trinity email using Entourage you must configure it properly with your personal information. The following steps should demonstrate how to setup the program for basic email use. When you open the Entourage you should be able to find Tools in the main menu on the top of the program. Under the Tools menu select Accounts. Following window will open for you. If you have used Entourage before to receive some other email, you might see email accounts listed in this window, but if you have never used it the list will be empty.
Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the New button and select Exchange from the drop-down menu. The Account Setup Assistant should appear, which should look like the screen below.
At this point, select the Configure account manually button on the bottom left of the screen.
Now click on the Mail tab at the top of the window. The window should now look like the one below.
In here, fill out the SMTP server textbox with the proper SMTP server. It is asmtp.trincoll.edu. Once done with that, click on the Click here for advanced sending options button directly below the SMTP server line. The following window should appear.
In this window, the Override default SMTP port window should be checked off and set to port 587. Also, the SMTP server requires authentication needs to be checked. Close this window now and you should be at the Edit Account window again. From here skip over the Directory tab and click on the Advanced tab. The following screen should appear.
The only thing that needs to be done in this window is check off the DAV service requires secure connection (SSL) checkbox. After that is done, click on the OK button on the bottom right hand corner of the window. If you wish, you may refine some of your Entourage settings using the Other Entourage Configuration instructions below, but this is optional.
Part 2: Other Entourage Configuration In order to access the configuration settings for the Trinity email account you need to click on the Account item under the Tools menu. The window will open listing all the existing account, select the Trinity Mail account and click on the Edit button. The Edit Account window will open. For the settings on the Account Settings tab refer to above instruction. If you click on the Options tab the window should look as following. Here you can select and create the signature for your emails. This means that every time you create new email the Entourage will automatically and the signature at the bottom of your message. Usually the signature contains your contact information. We advise you to leave all the other settings at this tab as default.
If you click on the Advanced tab, you should get the following options. These options are very much self explanatory and they refer to autoimmunization of the Entourage. Basically here you can tell to the Entourage how to manage you emails, where to store then and how to delete them.
